Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Sneak Peek!

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air December 1 on CBS – but the actual event just occurred on Thursday night in New York at the Lexington Avenue Armory. Highlights of the show included the Black Eyed Peas performing, Heidi Klum showing off her post-baby body, Marissa Miller wearing the $3 million Fantasy Harlequin bra, and the induction of five new models into the Angel ranks (Emanuela de Paula, Chanel Iman, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Lindsay Ellingson and Candice Swanepoel). The outfits fell into four categories: Star Trooper (futuristic), Pink Planet (hippie), Enchanted Forest (dreamy), and Romantic Journey (feminine). Of course, we have pictures!

Playful Promises: Shanghai Boudoir Fall 2009

Emma Parker is the designer behind the Playful Promises lingerie brand and she does not disappoint with her Fall 2009 collection. The mood of the collection is Shangahi Boudoir, described as, “Be seduced by the sophisticated romance of 1920’s Shanghai. Reflecting the explosion of creativity, within the decadence of this sparkling city, and oozing with style and glamour, this collection salutes the clash on conformity and creativity that defines the golden days of Shanghai.”

BODYLOOK Trade Show Canceled

Only four short months after its successful re-launch, organizers of BODYLOOK have announced the international trade fair for body, beach and legwear has been canceled. But this doesn’t really come as a surprise. Approximately one year ago the organizers, Igedo Company, announced the show would be downgraded from a semi-annual to an annual event, starting with summer 2009, blaming the distressed economy for the decision. This time around company CEO Philipp Kronen said the show will not go on because “the statement of BODYLOOK obviously failed to ensure sustainable relevance to the market.”

BODYLOOK had its debut in August 2002 in Leipzig and in February 2006 the Igedo Company took over as organizers, later moving the show to Düsseldorf, Germany in July 2006.

Werner M. Dornscheidt, President and CEO of Messe Düsseldorf GmbH added: “Since BODYLOOK moved from Leipzig we have invested substantial funds in the development of this event with the aim of responding to the sector’s requests. Ultimately, the market and its key players were not fully committed to BODYLOOK, the commitment we would have needed to continue planning. Without this commitment, both the commercial and strategic risks could no longer be justified.”

Ladies, I am loving this new collection from Freya. Everything is the perfect combination of sexy, cute, and practical! Seductive bedroom numbers are great, but there’s something to be said for something that’s gorgeous and comfortable enough for you to wear all day. Bar Refaeli Models Passionata Spring/Summer 2010

Israeli bombshell Bar Refaeli is modeling Passionata’s upcoming spring/summer 2010 collection and looks absolutely beautiful all done up like a 1960’s Brigitte Bardot, another blonde bombshell. The pictures were shot by New York photographer Greg Kadel, who did an amazing job at capturing Refaeli as a modern, and summery, pin-up girl.

And not to mention, the lingerie also looks gorgeous. It exudes a  girly, bouncy and flirty vibe which is represented by lots of satin bows, crisp printed fabrics, lightweight lace and vivid summer colors. The collection will be available in early 2010.

Triumph Unveils “Nice Cup in Bra”

Triumph has unveiled its newest novelty bra proving once again creativity has no limits.  After debuting the “Husband Hunter Bra” in May—which plays “The Wedding March” after the wearer receives a ring from her mate—the Japanese company has now come out with the “Nice Cup in Bra,” a little something that transforms from a green corset-style top into a five foot-long golf putting mat.

And the features don’t stop there—the bra talks to you too. If you get the ball into one of the cups (while it’s in its putting mat form of course), a built-in speaker belts “Nice Shot!”

The bra also comes equipped with pockets to house extra golf balls and tees, a flag pin that serves as a score pencil, and it is even paired with a short sport skirt boasting the words “Be Quiet” on the behind, which can also be used as a flag on the course.

According to the Telegraph, Triumph releases these novelty bras twice a year with the hopes of shedding light on specific issues, which in this case is the growing popularity of the relaxing sport among Japanese women.  Previous designs included the “Postal Bra,” which featured pockets for letters, a “Chopstick Bra” which was made of miso soup and rice bowls with a special holder for chopsticks and the previously shown on TLP: solar-powered bra, shopping-bag bra and marriage-hunting bra.
